Israeli Basketball team Maccabi Haifa made their first appearance in the United States on Sunday night at an exhibition game against the Nets at the Prudential Center in New Jersey.

The attendance of 5174 was announced as the game took place at the temporary home of the Nets, while they await the completed construction of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

The game raised funds for the Haifa Hoops for Kids program that is spearheaded by Maccabi Haifa owner Jeffrey Rosen and the United Jewish Communities of Metro West, New Jersey. The program is run by retired Orthodox Basketball Star Tamir Goodman and brings disadvantaged children to Basketball games.

Among the Celebrities in the audience at the game that was won by the Nets, was Israeli boxing champion Yuri Foreman.
